A message from Teign Housing

Although we may be less visible in communities, our teams have been busy this week ensuring the most vulnerable get help and that emergency repairs and essential services continue. We’ve made 535 calls to check in on the welfare of residents. We’ve also made financial donations to the local foodbanks and supported 130 people via our Head Start team to help them get online – particularly with Universal Credit claims. We’ve also seen an increase in requests for help with Universal Credit claims and held 81 web chats across the last seven days.

You can help us help others by signing up to pay your rent by Direct Debit so that payments happen automatically, and also by using web chat and your My Teign Account if you can access our services in that way.

Thank you for your support this week. Many residents have taken the time and trouble to email their thanks, and that’s been welcomed by all our teams.
