Mike’s career in housing spans many years, experiencing all aspects of the provision and management of social housing. He joined Teign Housing as Chief Executive at the end of 2006. Prior to this he worked for a number of local authorities and housing associations both regional and national. He has served on the Boards of 3 other associations, including an appointment at the request of the housing regulator of the time.
Jo is a Certified Accountant who has worked in the housing sector for 15 years. Prior to this she had a varied career in the public and commercial sectors, working in the energy industry, facilities management and healthcare.
She has been a Board Member of 2 other housing associations and is currently a Business Mentor for the Princes Trust supporting young people in setting up their own business.
Jo believes that a viable housing association can deliver good services to residents, build new homes for the future and contribute to the local community.
Paula has had a diverse career in the public and commercial sectors, having managed superstores, been a senior manager in further education and as a consultant for a large international IT company. She is a trustee of a Citizens Advice Bureau, a director of a local community interest company and chair of the local Children’s Centre advisory board. She has been a call-out member of the local search and rescue team for more than 20 years.
Karen has over 20 years experience in the housing sector including social housing and defence housing. Prior to this she worked for the Ministry of Defence nationally in several roles including Human Resources, Training and Procurement. She is a qualified Coach practitioner, lead auditor and Investor in People advisor. Karen has extensive experience of change management and performance improvement. She joined Teign Housing in 2011 as our Head of Customer and Corporate Services and is passionate about developing staff and improving experiences for our customers.
Sue has worked in housing for over 20 years. Following several years in the commercial sector, her background encompasses working for Local Authorities and Housing Associations covering all aspects of housing management with both generic and specialist teams. In 2012 Sue obtained a Masters in Housing with a dissertation focussing on the changes to the Anti Social Behaviour tools and powers and their potential impact on the social housing sector. Sue enjoys working for a charity that is dedicated to supporting local communities.
Tony has had a varied career in a number of sectors. Having trained in architecture and construction surveying, he has been a buyer for a large building supply company and managing director of a national roofing and cladding contractor. He joined Teign Housing in 2014 after working for 15 years for another housing association as Head of Asset Management. He is on the board of trustees for two local community organisations. Tony enjoys working for an organisation that is truly focussed on providing high quality affordable housing for local communities.
