More and more tenants are learning how to get online through our free DigiBug sessions. These 121 sessions are held every Wednesday at our town centre office in Newton Abbot. They are run by volunteer members of staff who can help you get online at your pace. The DigiBugs will not bombard you with technical jargon, they are members of staff who use computers at work and home and can share their knowledge with you.
This month saw our busiest day yet with six people coming in one day. The DigiBugs have been helping people with a range of online tasks such as setting up HomeSwapper and Devon Home Choice accounts for mutual exchanges and bidding, downloading apps to a Kindle, setting up an iPad, using Google Earth and surfing the web to research a family tree – whatever your interests, we can help.
We have previously advertised these sessions as ‘drop-in’ which still applies, but as they are increasing in popularity, we are now recommending that you book an appointment in advance or e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01626 322722 on the day to check that someone will be free to help you.
