Mike Hanrahan, Chief Executive of local housing provider Teign Housing, has today announced his retirement after ten years leading and growing the organisation. He leaves Teign Housing at the end of December 2016.
Stephen Purser, Teign Housing’s chair of the board said: “Mike leaves us in a very strong position and the board thanks him for his leadership, energy and commitment to the organisation over the past decade. Teign Housing is committed to building strong communities and providing its customers with a good local service. We will continue this work as we move into a new phase in our history.”
Stephen added: “The board has appointed Deputy Chief Executive, Jo Reece, as Acting Chief Executive to work with Mike over the next few months, to provide continuity during transition and to lead the organisation in to 2017.”
Jo Reece, Teign Housing’s deputy chief executive said: “We have recently been confirmed as a G1V1 organisation, which means our governance and financial viability is strong and we will enter this next chapter in the best possible position. Our staff are very fond of Mike and respect him as a leader, he will be greatly missed and we all wish him the very best for his retirement.”
