We have invested £10,000 on developing the skills of our managers through a 10 month management development programme. Eight managers have completed the course which will enable them to lead their teams more effectively and deliver exceptional customer service.
Paula Birbeck, Teign Housing’s Director of Services said: “We invest a lot of money on developing homes and regenerating communities, but it’s also important that we invest in the staff who are responsible for carrying out this work. The training allows our workforce to become a more modern and effective team where a common approach to management and leadership is in place across the company. 11 more members of our management team will be completing the same programme again this year”
We provide a continuous training and development programme for all our staff and last year we spent, on average, £600 on training for each member of staff. We are also being assessed for the Investors in People award in early October, which will help confirm Teign Housing as an employer of choice.
