New responsive repairs contractor

We have selected repairs and maintenance specialist, Lovell, for a five-year contract to carry out responsive repairs and other work to your homes.

The contract, worth £17.5 million in total turnover, is set to start in November 2012. Lovell will provide a responsive repairs service as well as carrying out work to empty homes and undertaking aids and adaptations.

The contract was awarded through a comprehensive, competitive tendering process with Lovell selected ahead of several other contractors. The five-year deal includes the option of two additional extensions to a maximum of 4 years.

Lovell is already working with us through a separate contract providing gas repairs and servicing. The Lovell team delivering this contract and the new repairs and maintenance contract will be co-located at our head office in Newton Abbot, ensuring an integrated approach to service delivery.

Lovell takes great pride in working in partnership with local communities, through a variety of initiatives. They will provide apprenticeships through the repairs and maintenance programme as well as community initiatives with local schools and training opportunities for long-term unemployed residents. The company will also introduce a number of low-carbon initiatives as part of its commitment to working sustainably.
