Six 2 and 3 bedroom homes that will be available for affordable rent in rural Broadhempston have now been completed. Teign Housing will manage the properties and lease the land from Broadhempston Parish Council as part of a Community Land Trust Scheme, which will ensure that the investment continues to benefit the village in the future.
Stephen Purser, Teign Housing’s Chair of the Board said: “It’s great to see these homes completed and ready for people to move into. We always aim to build homes that we think will be sustainable and suit their existing surroundings and with the help of the parish council, I think we have definitely achieved that here. Broadhempston is such a lovely village, with a close-knit community and we hope the residents of these new homes will enjoy living here.”
Simon Sutcliffe, Chair of Broadhempston Parish Council added: “We are really pleased with these homes; they will be a huge asset to the village now and in the future.”
