Two of our employees will be attempting to cycle around the boundary of our catchment area on Friday 23 March in aid of Sport Relief. Ian Jones, Business Systems Manager and Josh Lewis, Senior Neighbourhood Services Advisor will leave our Head Office on the Brunel Industrial Estate, Newton Abbot at 8am to start their epic 80 mile tour of Teignbridge.

The route will take in Ashburton, Buckfastleigh, Widecombe-in-the-moor, Bovey Tracey, Moretonhampstead, Tedburn St Mary, Whitestone, Ide, Exminster, Kenton, Starcross, Dawlish, Holcombe, Teignmouth, Bishopsteignton, Kingsteignton and finally arriving back in Newton Abbot at 4pm.

Ian Jones, our Business Systems Manager said: “Josh and I are keen triathletes so we cycle a  lot and like to do our bit to raise funds for charities like Sport Relief, who provide vital services and support to those less fortunate than ourselves. We have also entered the Dart 10k swim in September which will be in aid of Devon Air Ambulance.

“We’re looking forward to meeting tenants and work colleagues along the way to provide us with some moral support. We’d both like to express our sincere thanks to the executive at Teign Housing for donating a day off to allow us to take on the ride for this great cause”.

Other members of staff will be doing their bit to raise money for Sport Relief through a dress down day and cake sale at the office. A team of staff will also be taking part in the official Sport Relief Mile at Newton Abbot Racecourse on Sunday 25 March.
