Floating support

There are always times when we need a little extra support and we can offer support to customers who temporarily need a helping hand. It may last up to two years, but the aim of the support is to give you short-term help so you are then able to manage on your own. You will have regular reviews to see how you're doing, and if we need to help you differently. You'll have a say in what we do and how your support changes.We're here to help any of our customers who: 

  • feels they need a bit of extra support
  • has not lived independently before
  • has a learning disability
  • has low level mental health support needs

We know that one size doesn't fit all. The help we'll offer will be based on your individually assessed needs and can include:

  • setting up and maintaining your home and tenancy
  • claiming benefits, budgeting and money issues
  • helping to organise moving home
  • contacting other agencies who can offer specialist help
  • finding training/employment
  • keeping your home safe and secure
  • developing social contacts and activities
  • emotional support
