Newton Abbot, Devon TQ12
The financial systems you develop will help us deliver more great homes.
Teign Housing is a successful social landlord employing over 90 ambitious, committed people, responsible for managing more than 3,600 homes across South Devon. Effective financial controls are essential to our continued success and you will have a vital role to play as you drive forward the continuous development and maintenance of our finance systems.
About the Finance Systems and Project Coordinator role
Enjoying considerable autonomy, you will manage changes and upgrades, identify ways to improve procedures and practices, and provide user training and support, whilst carefully managing and mitigating any associated risks. As such, we will look to you to ensure that robust controls are maintained within our financial processes and that our data integrity is maximised – so you can expect ahigh profile and significant influence.
Thoroughly versed in finance systems and broader financial practices, you will be able to demonstrate sound experience of constantly reviewing and updating procedures in a changing environment. Familiarity with the responsibilities of Registered Social Landlords would naturally be useful, but is by no means essential: more importantly, you will be familiar with finance and payroll software, capable of communicating effectively with non-technical personnel, and passionate about innovation and ongoing improvement.
In return, we offer an excellent benefits package with a contributory pension scheme, 25 days leave per year plus bank holidays, free parking and a modern working environment.
