Give our tenants the skills to get ahead in life.
Teign Housing is a successful social landlord employing over 90 ambitious, committed people, responsible for managing more than 3,700 homes across South Devon. In this crucial position, you will identify the level of support new and existing residents require to maintain their tenancies, before assisting them with goal planning and delivering comprehensive advice and information.
Going the extra mile to maximise their independence and choice, you will carefully assess tenants’ suitability and reliability and provide hands-on coaching in budgeting, money management, life skills, health and wellbeing, setting up home, and accessing financial services and the internet. At the same time, you will involve local authorities and external agencies, resolve wide-ranging queries and monitor residents’ progress, whilst collaborating with colleagues of all disciplines to promote the Head Start service both internally and externally.
This is a very varied and visible role, offering the chance to make a lasting difference to tenants’ lives, so we need a capable, confident and resilient professional with sound social housing or support experience. Advising and guiding vulnerable people should be second nature to you, and you will bring a good understanding of money management, financial services and the benefits system. If you are formally qualified in health, social care or counselling, so much the better, but it’s your passion, commitment and determination to tackle social exclusion that will matter most.
As an investor in People Platinum organisation you will be joining a company that creates a supportive high-performance culture. We offer an excellent benefits package with a contributory pension scheme, 25 days’ leave per year plus bank holidays, free parking and an agile, modern working environment.
