Give our residents everything they need to enjoy life to the full.

Teign Housing is a successful social landlord employing over 90 ambitious, committed people, responsible for managing more than 3,600 homes across South Devon. Our Independence and Wellbeing services ensure that older and vulnerable residents enjoy the highest quality of life, and you will drive their effective transformation, whilst acting as our Safeguarding Lead.

About the Independence, Wellbeing and Tenancy Sustainability Manager role

In particular, you will have a leadership role in the transformation project which aims to deliver a new offer to customers living in our sheltered accommodation. You will also lead our HeadStart service, which assists tenants in improving their job prospects, managing their finances and accessing the support they require, so you will truly transform lives and outcomes. Every day will bring new challenges as you review our Ageing Well strategy, monitor our residents’ changing needs and implement evolving legislation and best practice.

This will involve recruiting, training and developing a committed team, consulting with residents to identify their requirements and forging close links with statutory and voluntary agencies, whilst overseeing budgets and technological developments – so you can expect an exceptionally high profile within the organisation.

About you

A background in social housing or social care is essential, giving you deep understanding of the issues facing older and marginalised individuals. Like us, you will be passionate about protecting people’s dignity and realising their full potential, and you will be ready to go the extra mile to get our residents back on their feet. Above all, you will be determined to make a measurable difference every day and to act as a true tenants’ champion.
