Neighbourhood Knocks

In recent months, we’ve been out and about knocking on doors and speaking to residents about what’s important to them where they live and what they think of the services we provide.

Between June and October, we visited homes in:

Okehampton, Cullompton, Bradley Barton in Newton Abbot, Bovey Tracey and Kingskerswell.

When someone has not been at home, we’ve followed up with a phone call and offered them the opportunity to complete the survey and give us feedback.

So, what have we learnt?

We’ve really enjoyed meeting or talking to our residents on the phone, and we thank everyone who has spoken to us.

Overall, we are pleased to hear that people enjoy the home and community where they live.  We have had various individual issues raised with us, which we have followed up on personally, but here are some of the actions we have taken:

We have contacted the residents we spoke to and provide them with a more detailed overview of all the general issues raised in the area and the action we are taking. We’re still collating the information from our Kingskerswell visit, so we’ll include that in a future round-up.

We have more Neighbourhood Knocks planned over the winter, and we will let residents living in the area we are visiting know when we will be there by email or letter.
