As well as helping to tackle the shortage of homes in the South West, building new homes gives people access to safe, secure and stable housing, enabling them to put down roots and be a part of a community.
We are taking a look at the progress of some of our current developments across the region and when they will be ready.
Upper Coly Valley, Northleigh – with Coyde Construction
Set within a beautiful rural location just four miles from Honiton, Upper Coly Valley enjoys stunning countryside views and a real sense of tranquillity. We are nearing handover of six Social Rent homes, offering a thoughtfully balanced mix of three 2-bedroom, one 3-bedroom, and two 1-bedroom homes.
Brook Vale, Dawlish – with Taylor Wimpey
Brook Vale is a significant and vibrant development delivered in partnership with Taylor Wimpey and Bloor Homes. We are preparing to take handover of twelve Affordable Rent flats within a brand-new apartment block this June. Two ground floor homes have been designed to be fully wheelchair accessible, ensuring additional support for residents with specific needs. Each home benefits from allocated parking.
We are already pleased to see a thriving community here, with three Shared Ownership homes and twelve Affordable Rent homes already occupied. Looking ahead, we anticipate a further six Affordable Rent and six Shared Ownership homes becoming available later this year.
Norden Meadows, Kingsbridge – with Baker Estates
Located in the highly sought-after area of Kingsbridge, Norden Meadows is already generating strong interest. We expect to take handover of sixteen homes later this year, including a mix of Affordable Rent and Shared Ownership properties. Construction is progressing in its early stages, and the development promises to deliver much-needed homes in a desirable coastal community.
Goodmores, Exmouth – with 3West
Goodmores is a substantial and well-located development in the heart of Exmouth, offering easy access to local amenities and services. We are set to receive eleven Affordable Rent homes, comprising two flats and nine houses by early 2027. Plans also include further phases, with additional Affordable Rent and Shared Ownership homes expected later that year, helping to create a well-rounded and sustainable community.
Strawberry Hill, Lympstone – with 3West
Construction at Strawberry Hill is due to begin shortly, bringing forward a charming development of eight Social Rent and four Shared Ownership homes. Located just a short distance from Goodmores in Exmouth, this site will offer residents the best of both peaceful village living and nearby town amenities, with homes expected to be completed in late 2027.
The Orchard, Aller Road, Kingskerswell – with SMN Developments Ltd
The Orchard is a small, thoughtfully designed development in a convenient location between Newton Abbot and Torquay. It will provide a 4-bedroom Shared Ownership home alongside two 1-bedroom flats. While construction is yet to begin, we are currently anticipating handover in early 2027. The site’s excellent transport links make it an attractive option for future residents
