Do you know a community project that could benefit from a boost?

Each year we set aside £5,000 for community projects and we’ve a final financial slice of funding available up until April 2020.

The Tenants’ Forum Community Chest awards up to £500 each to projects or events that improve the lives of Teign Housing residents and the surrounding community. Members of the Tenants’ Forum decide what awards will be given.

Projects benefiting already during 2019 included two youth clubs. One put their grant towards their summer activities and trip and the other towards their winter activities.  Other awards included bench cushions and provisions for a community garden, external battery powered tree lights in a communal area to brighten it up during winter and a large bench for a community support group so they can sit outside in the summer.

You do not need to live in a Teign Housing property to make an application, but its impact must benefit Teign Housing residents as well as the wider community.

To make an application, complete the form on this webpage and send it to Julie Cleave, Resident Involvement Lead, Teign Housing, Millwood House, Collett Way, Newton Abbot, TQ12 4PH, or email Julie.cleave@teignhousing.co.uk

You can also email Julie for help completing the form or an informal exchange to see if your project might be suitable.
