Coronavirus: An update on grounds maintenance

An update on grounds maintenance

Following a recent trial of grass cuttings on some Teign Housing owned land, we are now pleased to return our Grounds Maintenance team from Monday 8th June.

We had to halt all works when the initial lockdown was enforced, so certain sites we know have grown more than others. Please bear with us as we work to get these up to the usual standard. For some sites this may take a few visits.

You will see at least one visit to your area, within two weeks. Where we can, we will use slightly different machinery on first visits so we can do a better job on higher grass. Once each site is has had at least one visit, we will then return to our two weekly schedule as soon as possible.

Our teams have the right personal protective equipment and new ways of working to keep them and residents safe whilst we complete this work.

Please do keep social distancing, leaving the operatives to work safely as they look to keep communities tidy during this time. If you aren’t sure they are our staff or have a question about the work taking place, please don’t approach them – just call us on 01626 322722 or email and we will be happy to help.
