Providing general administration support for all HR matters to a high-quality standard and within agreed timescales. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person who will complete an HR support Level 3 Apprenticeship.

Teign Housing is a successful social landlord employing over 90 ambitious, committed people, responsible for managing more than 3,700 homes across South Devon.

About the HR Apprenticeship role

  • To provide administration support for all HR matters to a high-quality standard and within agreed timescales
  • To process letters, forms and reports in a timely manner
  • To support managers with basic queries on policies and processes
  • To support the HR Advisor (Employment Law) with the whole employee life cycle
  • To monitor the Human Resources mailbox ensuring that emails are responded to in a timely manner or that the email is escalated to the appropriate team member
  • To advise managers on basic terms and conditions queries
  • To support the HR team with reviewing current processes and implementing ideas to improve our HR function
  • Input and maintenance of data onto the HR system ensuring that employee records are accurate and updated
  • To attend meetings as note taker as required
  • To maintain confidentiality at all times and ensure letters or forms do not breach data protection legislation
  • To provide administrative support for the recruitment process from start to finish
  • Ensure all internal HR processes and procedures are adhered to
  • To undertake a HR Apprenticeship and apply learnings and best practice to the role
  • Undertake administration tasks associated with learning and development activities:- update training records, produce L&D analytics/reports, send training invites, process training invoices and compile attendance lists
  • Update the Teign Academy SharePoint intranet page with engaging news posts and articles
  • Assist the Learning & Development Advisor in overseeing the management of the Teign Academy
  • Design, produce and analyse staff engagement surveys and produce internal communications
  • Support the Respect for People Group and help promote Equality and Diversity initiatives around the business

Qualifications

GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4/C) Desired
GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4/C) Desired
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
In house training will be provided through the Teign Academy Apprenticeship programme, as well as 1 taught session per week at South Devon College.

After this, you will receive a Level 3 HR Support Diploma.
