Deliver an efficient legal service for a leading social landlord.
Teign Housing is a successful social landlord employing over 90 ambitious, committed people, responsible for managing more than 3,600 homes across South Devon. Our legal service underpins everything we do, and you will have a vital role to play as you support our Legal Advisor in maintaining records and administering transactions regarding our housing portfolio.
About the Legal Administrator role
You can expect plenty of variety and challenge as you manage property sales under the Right to Buy and Right to Acquire schemes, maintain records for shared ownership and commercial leases, and respond to solicitors’ enquiries. At the same time, you will be the first point of contact for customers needing advice about buying or selling their homes, process licences and wayleave requests, support work on boundary disputes and help to prepare reports on property proposals – so no two days will be the same.
As our Legal Administrator, you will be required to work 22.5 hours per week.
Experienced within a legal or conveyancing department or a housing association, you will naturally bring outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills. A formal paralegal, secretarial or administrative qualification would be useful, but it’s your effectiveness under pressure, meticulous attention to detail and proven ability to deliver quality documents that will matter most.
Finally, it’s vital that you can solve problems in a structured and creative manner, and you should be keen to develop your skills and take your career to the next level.
We offer an excellent benefits package with a contributory pension scheme, 25 days’ leave per year plus bank holidays, free parking and a modern working environment.
