About the Resident Involvement Manager role

Actively involving residents in consultations and decision-making, you will champion the ‘resident voice’ to gauge opinion. This will involve supporting and facilitating the existing resident involvement groups – the Tenants’ Forum, Scrutiny Panel and Service Board leading on the delivery of resident engagement activity and providing a professional and high quality service to residents. You’ll also be encouraging partnership working with other agencies. What’s more, you will support local residents’ groups to register with Teign Housing each year and apply for funding – and above all, you will make certain that our residents’ voices are heard whenever we take key decisions that affect them.

About you

We need someone who can transform the way we engage with our residents, so you will require an exceptional blend of interpersonal and managerial skills. Some social housing experience is essential, backed by a real flair for customer service and relationship building, and you will be ready to forge a good rapport with people from all walks of life. Finally, you will enjoy problem-solving, be capable of using your initiative to the full and be happy operating outside normal office hours.
