Every new home you deliver will transform a life.

Teign Housing is a successful social landlord employing over 90 ambitious, committed people, responsible for managing more than 3,700 homes across South Devon. We are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and, as one of our Senior Project Managers, you will be central to everything we do as you help us build sustainable communities and provide cleaner, greener and safer neighbourhoods.

At Teign Housing, we’re passionate about giving our residents the best possible homes and our team the best and most flexible careers. Our culture of agile working means our 90 people enjoy an exceptional work-life balance, with the option of spending much of their time based at home. We believe giving you choice over when, where and how you work will improve both your wellbeing and your performance – creating a win-win situation for you, for us and for the thousands of people who rely on us.

About the Senior Project Manager role

You will be central to everything we do as you deliver a steady supply of new homes, incorporating a mixture of affordable rental, shared ownership and open market properties. Operating across southern Devon, you will partner our Development Manager in identifying and implementing new schemes within agreed timescales and budgets and assume responsibility for project management from appraisal through contract negotiation, planning permission and building to final handover. This will involve forging close relationships with diverse stakeholders, constantly monitoring performance and generating meaningful management information, so you will need a rare blend of strategic, operational, influencing and commercial skills.

As an experienced project manager in the commercial or social housing sector, you will be well versed in the residential development process and adept at managing people, projects and finances. A formal project management qualification would be useful, as would knowledge of fiscal modelling and social housing standards, but more importantly you will be a superb negotiator and creative thinker with proven ability to deliver homes on time and to cost.

Benefits

As an investor in People Platinum organisation, you will be joining a company that creates a supportive high-performance culture. We offer an excellent benefits package with a contributory pension scheme, 25 days’ leave per year plus bank holidays, free parking and an agile, modern working environment.
